Dual education is becoming increasingly relevant in the modern world, as it solves a number of problems, including: the lack of connection between theory and practice in the educational process, the asynchrony of educational programs of higher education institutions with the requirements of the labor market, unemployment among youth, a low level of cooperation between education and business, and high costs of companies for personnel adaptation. Dual education is an effective mechanism for training highly qualified specialists in the higher education system of our country, which contributes to the development of human capital, education, and the economy as a whole.
On November 27, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Dual Education as a Form of Improving the Quality of Training of Specialists ” was held. The conference was organized by: State Institution “Scientific and Methodological Center for Higher and Professional Pre-Higher Education” in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
During the conference, the issue of implementation practices at SNAU was presented by the Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work, Doctor of Economics, Professor Marharyta LYSHENKO. In her speech, Marharyta LYSHENKO presented the key achievements of SNAU in the implementation of dual education and highlighted the success stories of our students, who, thanks to this opportunity, have already achieved significant career achievements. The Vice-Rector also focused the attention of those present on the key challenges of today that face a higher education institution that intends to develop dual education.
Dual education is always a synergy: of the university, the enterprise and, of course, the student. It is pleasant to note that this year the organizers of the Conference invited a student of SNAU, Yevheniia MORHUNOVA, who studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, to speak on behalf of dual education students. Yevheniia MORHUNOVA told the participants of the event about her experience of studying dual education at PrJSC “Oril-Lider”, which is part of the MHP agro-industrial holding.
In general, the International Scientific and Practical Conference became an excellent platform for exchanging experiences of representatives of educational institutions, business and students. Meaningful materials, useful information, thorough reports of speakers and active questions from participants – these are the words that can describe the atmosphere of the event.
