Oleksii ALIEKSIEIEV is the music director of the department for organizing educational work at SNAU. Thanks to his work, most of the university’s events have musical accompaniment. But, since this work is not publicly known, we decided to create this material so that you can get acquainted with the talented person whom SNAU discovered and who is working for its benefit now.

Producing Vasyl ZHADAN’s work, experience working with Artem PYVOVAROV, Alona ROMANOVSKA, Yulia ROZNEN and many others is the main part of work of Oleksii as a sound engineer. But, despite this, the musician has no prejudice against novice artists and, on the contrary, is inspired by creative youth who are burning with ideas.

Recalling the beginning of his cooperation with Oleksandr USYK, the musician says that this became possible thanks to Vasyl ZHADAN, whom he produces. The singer met the boxer at a party and the conversation turned to the need for a song to which the current world champion could enter the ring. The sound had to be inspiring, patriotic, folk and energetic.

Work on the song went quite quickly. The boxer’s reaction is still a rather vivid memory for Oleksii:
“I remember when we just sent the first demo version of the song to Oleksandr, he was driving down the highway, but he left the car with the emergency light on the side of the road and called us on a video call. He said something like, “Guys, look, I got goosebumps!” It really inspired me to work on the song further. And it’s very nice to know that our work was not in vain and that it still inspires the boxer and leads him to victory.”

The song “Brothers” was special in its creation. Oleksandr USYK became the main factor of inspiration for the music and lyrics. The sound has been encouraging the boxer to new victories and arouses sincere admiration for several years. But it also gives us the right to be proud that Sumy artists worked on this historical masterpiece!

Later, for producing the music for the song, Oleksii received an award and his name was heard all over Ukraine on television. Despite this, the musician still accepts everyone who wants to come to his studio and even conducts sound engineering courses for students of our university.

Since his student years, Oleksii’s creativity has shaped him as a musician, singer and producer. After all, in addition to studying, he was also kept at the university by the musical group “Fakultet”.

Once the musician had the opportunity to write songs for a then-famous singer, but he refused, saying:
“So I won’t be able to write anything for myself… But what about “Fakultet”?”

Some of, Oleksii’s recent projects in collaboration with students of the “Struna” vocal studio at Sumy National University include songs such as: “Ukraine”, “Zadonat!” and “Shchedryk”, which you can listen to on our YouTube channel.

SNAU is incredibly proud to have such a creative person among its graduates and, now, employees. We publish this material not only to advertise the activities of Oleksii ALIEKSIEIEV, but also to inspire the modern creative youth of the university to action! Employment of any scale is valuable if it is performed qualitatively and sincerely.
