In Sumy National Agrarian University, from October 31 to November 3, the promotion week “Hlobyno at SNAU” took place.
Today’s challenges: martial law and the pandemic require higher education institutions to take new approaches to support and strengthen cooperation with business partners. Sumy NAU and the “Hlobyno” group of companies have had close relations for many years. For example, hundreds of graduates of our HEI acquired practical skills on the basis of “Hlobyno Swine Complex”,”Hlobyno Meat and Dairy Complex”, “Hlobyno Meat Processing Plant”.
From October 31 to November 3, the promotion week: “Hlobyno at SNAU” lasted. The event was organized online and consisted of a series of meetings between representatives of “Hlobyno” and students of higher education of Sumy National Agrarian University.
The main goal of the training week was to acquaint students with the possibilities of dual education and practical training at the enterprises of “Hlobyno”. During the meetings, our graduates, and now employees of “Hlobyno”, shared their professional achievements and features of their own career success.
During a series of meetings, a number of issues of interest to the student body were highlighted:
- amounts of monetary remuneration during dual training or practical training;
- working conditions, requirements for the list of documents depending on the specific enterprise;
- cost and possibilities of medical examination in Hlobyno;
- peculiarities of issuing medical certificates;
- the employer’s requirements for compliance with biosafety and sanitary and hygienic standards during work at production units;
- peculiarities of accommodation/catering in the dormitories/canteens of “Hlobyno”, the functioning of the mentoring system.

We are sincerely convinced that the implemented promotion week initiative will be a catalyst for increasing the number of students who will soon start dual education and practical training at the enterprises of “Hlobyno”.
