Recruitment for the UPSHIFT program in Sumy region begins!
UPSHIFT is a global program of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which is implemented in more than 40 countries. The program provides an opportunity for young people to undergo Human Centered Design training, receive mentoring support and resources to turn their ideas into socially important projects.
Participants of these programs will be able to:
- learn to work in a team
- analyse challenges and think outside the box
- with the support of the mentor, participants will find effective solutions to the problems , and as a result, they will create their own socially useful project and receive resources for its implementation.
So, what do you need to participate in the program?
- Find a team of 3 to 5 like-minded friends aged between 14 to 24.
- Select a contact person who will communicate on behalf of the team.
- Identify the problem that the team would like to solve.

The submission deadline is November 26, 2023, 23:59.
And here is our plan:
- Registration and team selection.
- Online introduction to the project program and mentor.
- Study of the problem.
- Offline training at a 4-day bootcamp (December 21-24, 2023). We will provide you with housing and catering, and your task is to generate ideas!
- Implementation of the project into reality.
The UPSHIFT program in Poltava and Sumy regions is implemented by the public organization “Nova Poltava” within the framework of the program “Development of Youth Potential in Poltava and Sumy regions”, in partnership with “Center for Euroinitiatives “, financial support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Government of Japan.
