On November 25-28, 2021, the annual Rectors Conference of the IMA Network partner universities took place. The conference was attended by about 25 universities from Ukraine, Armenia, Mongolia, Uganda, Kenya, Senegal, Togo, Uzbekystan, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, and others. Sumy NAU was represented by the Rector, Academician of NAAS of Ukraine, Volodymyr Ladyka, and the Head of the International Cooperation Department, Larysa Kalachevska.
The conference participants discussed the following issues: the international accreditation of the joint IMA Master’s course, English study programs development and an improvement of language proficiency of students and teachers, the dual education implementation, the internationalization and digitalization of education, the international focus areas, the network activities, and scientific cooperation. The further joint research focuses, including Climate Smart Agriculture, Food Technology & Safety, Climate Change, Regional / Rural Development, Biotechnology, have been determined; and an agreement on cooperation with the Bavarian Research Alliance in preparing and implementing joint research and educational projects has been reached.
Rector Volodymyr Ladyka held a series of bilateral talks on the promotion of German language learning, the establishment of the partnership between German and Ukrainian schools, and the participation of students from Uganda, Senegal, and other countries in SNAU Ph.D. programs.
