The roundtable aims to answer questions that are important for understanding agronomic practices in Ukraine: the spread of certain tillage systems, prospects for implementing soil conservation and regenerative practices. The main task is to create an expert opinion on the development of agro-industrial production within the framework of climate-oriented solutions and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the production process of agricultural producers.
The Roundtable will be attended by scientists, agronomy advisors, farm managers and owners.
Experts will hold a discussion and a series of debates on agronomic practices that are common in Ukraine, their intensive use in agricultural production, and the prospects for implementing regenerative practices.
The main objective of the Roundtable is to discuss and draw conclusions on the following issues:
- what is the prevailing tillage system in Ukraine?
- what elements of soil conservation and regenerative systems are implemented in Ukraine;
- what is the level and pace of implementation of the following practices: shelf cultivation, mini-till, no-till, strip-till, other systems;
- what is the level and pace of introduction of cover crops in Ukraine;
- whether the crop rotation is soil-preserving;
- prospects for creating biodiversity conservation zones and ecological zones in the agrobiocenosis of agricultural producers
