Sumy National Agrarian University is among the TOP 30 Ukrainian higher education institutions in the SCImago Institutional Rankings 2025.
The SCImago Institutional Rankings (SIR) is an annual international ranking that evaluates the activities of more than 8000 research institutions worldwide. The list includes universities, medical organisations, government agencies, non-profit institutions and private companies.
The ranking is based on three key groups of criteria:
- Research (50% of the total score): analyses the institution’s research activity, number and uniqueness of publications, citation level, and research fund according to SCOPUS.
- Innovations (30% of the total score): technological impact, number of patents and the level of innovation of developments are considered.
- Social impact (20% of the total score): the institution’s reputation, achievement of sustainable development goals, gender balance in the scientific field, and other indicators are assessed.
SCImago Institution Rankings allows us to analyse the contribution of institutions to research, innovation and social development, as well as to compare their performance at the international level.
In 2025, Sumy National Agrarian University was ranked 29th among Ukrainian higher education institutions, which confirms its dynamic development, focus on innovation and active participation in the global scientific space.
