SNAU HAS DEVELOPED A PROJECT OF A SKI COMPLEX THAT CAN BE CREATED IN TROSTIANETS UTC

Skiing has recently become increasingly popular among the residents of Sumy region.

However, due to the lack of specially equipped complexes, they are forced to go to other regions to satisfy their desire for active recreation.

For some time, there has been a talk of creating a similar facility in Trostianets UTC, which is rightly considered to be the most progressive in Sumy region and one of the most powerful in Ukraine.

The representatives of Sumy National Agrarian University joined the development of this issue. We talked to Artem Borodai, Candidate of Architecture, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Architecture and Engineering Research, about what this object is and how the project developers see it.

SNAU students under the guidance of tutors began to develop the concept of such a complex. The management of the Trostianets Community liked the Master’s thesis of a student Vladyslava Bondarenko.

According to this concept, the ski complex with all associated infrastructure should be located in the village Luchka, Okhtyrka district, Trostianets UTC. The design site of the complex was chosen not by chance. The new master plan of the village, which is currently under development, provides the ski slope and ski complex.

Choosing the site they took into account not only quite favourable natural and landscape conditions, but also the existing urban planning documentation.

The developed project received very positive feedback from the management of Trostianets UTC, because the construction of such a complex requires considerable investment. Now it is a problem to find the reliable investors or government programs to finance the project.
