Sumy National Agrarian University hosted a training for university students. The training campaign aims to develop and increase student self-government activities.
For two days, the participants worked under the guidance of trainers to solve the problems faced by active youth of the university:
– The rights and responsibilities of the SGBs: The training participants received detailed information about the legal and ethical aspects of student self-government bodies (SGBs). The main rights and responsibilities of students were highlighted, as well as the role of the SGB in ensuring that these rights are respected;

Participants learned about modern tools for monitoring and improving the quality of education;

Participants were provided with examples of effective strategies in case of violation of their rights, as well as recommendations for protection against illegal actions of the administration of educational institutions;

The trainings were organized by Denys Trypolskyi, who was recently elected head of the Ukrainian Students’ Association’s branch in Sumy region. According to Denys, holding such training is a necessary component of improving the functioning of student self-government:
“It’s not just an event – it’s a space for real change, where students can talk openly about their problems, look for ways to solve them and feel part of a large community of like-minded people. I am especially inspired by the energy and concern of the participants. Each question they asked, and each discussion showed how important the topics of student rights and access to education are for young people today. The participation of such an active audience made it clear that we are moving in the right direction.”
