November 21, the unique, smart polygon was opened on the university campus within the frame of a seminar “Precise farming is an effective tool of a modern agro-producer”. It’s a unique project for Ukraine, which is held by Sumy National Agrarian University. SNAU followed the example of German agrarian educational institutions Deula and the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf. The Smart polygon will become a part of the SNAU Precise Farming Center, which was highly appreciated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and has no counterparts in Ukraine. The polygon area is 800 square meters. The training will be held not only by mechanical engineers, but also by future specialists in agronomy and civil engineering. The first soil testing on the polygon was held on November 21 in the framework of the training seminar for managers and specialists of agricultural enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. The participants were able to develop practical skills in setting up the tillage and sowing equipment. The students will be able to improve their practical skills at any season of the year.
