SNAU STARTS COOPERATION WITH THE STATE EMPLOYMENT SERVICE

Rector of Sumy National Agrarian University Volodymyr LADYKA together with the Director of the State Educational Institution “Sumy Centre for Vocational Education and Training of the State Employment Service” Maksym Huzem signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

From now on, the two institutions will develop vocational education and provide training of qualified personnel for the energy and agricultural sectors of Sumy region and Ukraine, improving the quality of services and the level of material and technical resources.

It is planned that the two institutions will cooperate in several areas. Sumy National Agrarian University actively cooperates with business. Based on this experience, proposals for the content of training in the vocational education system in the energy and agro-engineering fields will be developed and implemented jointly with the SumyCentre of the SES. Moreover, according to the Memorandum, the institutions will organise exhibitions, conferences, roundtables, and will try to find ways to cooperate with businesses to provide jobs for young people.

Sumy National Agrarian University provides the Sumy Vocational Training Centre of the SES with access to its laboratories, which operate at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Agrotechnologies Natural Resources Management.

Since then, the centre’s teachers have been able to improve their knowledge through internships at New Holland Academy, the Precision Agriculture Centre named after M. Dovzhyk, the Centre for the Collective Use of Scientific Equipment “Laboratory of Ecological Agriculture and Nature Management”, the laboratory of the Department of Energy and Electrical Systems, and the SNAU energy testing ground, while students will immediately practice their theoretical knowledge. In turn, the Sumy Vocational Training Centre of the SES will help develop the material and technical base of the SNAU.

Both the representatives of Sumy National Agrarian University and the staff of the Sumy Centre for Vocational Education of the State Employment Service are convinced that the cooperation will be fruitful and effective, and that the chosen areas of cooperation will allow training highly qualified specialists for the energy and agricultural sectors of Ukraine.
