Two years ago, Sumy National Agrarian University signed the agreement with Henan Institute of Science and Technology according to which the academic exchange programs between these two universities can be carried out. Today we have received an approval from the Ministry of Education and Science of the People’s Republic of China to conduct a mutual training of bachelors in veterinary medicine.
The decision in favour of Veterinary Medicine Department was not accidental. The prestige and popularity of the profession of veterinarian was taken into account. It is prestigious not only in Ukraine, but in the whole world. This department is one of the leaders in veterinary education in the North-Eastern region of Ukraine. It is always in the process of its development, enriches its scientific and educational resources; it carries out and implements different theoretical and scientific investigations. Another reason why Chinese colleagues are interested in collaboration with the Department of Veterinary Medicine of SNAU is an extensive laboratory system. We have about 10 different research laboratories:

It will give students a chance to conduct their research work on the detection of infectious and invasive pathogens, to investigate products and raw materials of animal and plant origin for the harmful impurities existence, illicit substances and food additives, radioactive contamination, GMF and etc. Therefore, after the completion of training, they will become high-qualified specialists who will not only be able to work as the specialists in public and private clinics, but also they will be able to teach. Graduates of the People’s Republic of China will be able to continue their postgraduate studies working in research institutes and teaching in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of the People’s Republic of China. A great number of graduates of the department work abroad as veterinarians.
