On September 13-14, Sumy hosted the Open Cup of Sumy Region in equestrian sports. Oleksandra SIROSHTAN, a second-year student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Sumy NAU, took part in the competition and won 2 medals.
In the open class category, she took first place in the show jumping with 100 cm high obstacles and second place in the show jumping with 110 cm high obstacles.
Oleksandra started riding in 2021. She says it was her childhood dream, which she was able to realize. This was one of the reasons why Oleksandra chose to major in veterinary medicine.
“Sometimes it’s very difficult to combine training and studying, but I enjoy the process because my future profession is related to my favorite animals,” she says.
These are not the first awards for her, but they are special because her duet with her new pet, a horse named Pulse, has recently begun.
