- Free-style Wrestling – Kolomiiets Andrii
Born on August 24, 1967 in Sumy. In 1984 he finished his studies at the Sumy Secondary School No. 25. From 1982 he was engaged in free-style wrestling. His coach was Holub Yurii. Since 1988 he has worked as a coach-instructor at the Sumy Sports Complex “Avanhard”. From 1988 till 1993 he studied at SSPI named after Makarenko at the Faculty of Physical Training Education. All the time he worked as a coach in the Youth College. Since 2005 he has been a teacher of physical training education and a coach at SNAU.
- Military Multi-Sport – Khomenko Serhii, was born on November 30, 1961 in Trostianets, Sumy region. In 1980 – 1984 he studied at the Sumy State Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Physical Training Education.
In 1984 – 1986 he served in the armed forces of the USSR. From 1986 till 1997 he worked as a teacher of the Department of Physical Training Education of Sumy Agricultural Institute.
In 1997 – 2015 he worked as a coach and a director of the Youth College. He has prepared 12 masters of sports of international class, and 22 masters of sports of Ukraine. Among his pupils there are not only Champions of the World and Europe, but also winners of the Ukrainian Championships and various international competitions.
Since 2007 he has been the President of the Sumy regional branch of the Taekwondo Federation of Ukraine, a coach of the highest category, a judge of the national category, an honored coach of Ukraine, an Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports.

- Volleyball (women) – Samokhvalova Iryna, was born on July 6, 1973 in Sumy. From 1990 till 1994 she was a student of the Faculty of Physical Training Education of the Sumy State Pedagogical Institute named after Makarenko. From 1994 till 2004 she worked as an instructor of physical training education. In 2003 she studied for master’s degree at Sumy SPU, where she received her Master’s degree in “Management of an educational institution”. Since 2004 she has been working at the Department of Physical Training Education at Sumy National Agrarian University as a teacher, coach of the women’s volleyball team of SNAU and a teacher of shaping.
- Athletics (throwing) – Yevtushenko Yevhen, was born on July 25, 1979 in the city of Kharkiv. In 1996 he finished his studies at Sumy School # 7. From 1996 till 2001 he studied at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after Makarenko. From 2001 till 2002 he worked at the Sumy Vocational School No. 16. Since 2002 he has been working at Sumy National Agrarian University as a teacher of the Department of Physical Training Education. He is in charge for sports sector at the faculty of engineering technology. He is a coach in athletics and athletic gymnastics sections. He is a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, an assistant professor of the Department of Physical Training Education.
- Athletics – Klymenchenko Tetiana, was born on November 11, 1966 in Mezhyrych, Sumy district. In 1984 she graduated from school # 1 in Sumy. From 1984 till 1987 she studied at the Sumy branch of Kharkiv Agricultural Institute named after Dokuchaiev. From 1987 till 1991 she studied in Sumy Pedagogical Institute named after Makarenko. In 1984 she fulfilled the standard of the sports master of the USSR in sports walking. Since 1991 she has been working at the Department of Physical Training Education at Sumy National Agrarian University as a teacher. She participates in athletics competitions. She is a prize-winner of the All-Ukrainian sports wrestling competition among veterans. She works in with special medical groups. She is a shaping coach.
- Table tennis – Kharchenko Roman, was born on November 28, 1980 in the city of Lebedyn. In 1998 he graduated from Sumy School No. 15. From 1998 till 2003 he studied at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after Makarenko. From 2002 till 2004 he worked at a secondary school №2 as a teacher of physical training culture. Since 2004 he has been working at Sumy National Agrarian University at the Department of Physical Training Education as a teacher.
- Taekwondo – Khomenko Oleksandr, was born on August 18, 1993 in Sumy. In 2009-2014 he studied at Sumy State Pedagogical University and Sumy State University and received a Master’s Degree in Physical Training Education and Sport and Administrative Management. From 2015 till 2018 he studied at the post-graduate course of SSPU named after Makarenko on specialty “Physical Training Education”. From 2010 till present he is a member of the Taekwondo team of Ukraine. He is a master of sports of Ukraine of international class, he has a black belt in taekwondo. He has become the champion of Ukraine in military and sports and taekwondo many times, he is a three-time world champion, multiple prize-winner of international competitions, and four-time winner of the European Championships. He is a coach of the highest category and judge of the national category. He has prepared 3 masters of sports of Ukraine of the international class and 6 masters of sports of Ukraine. Since 2016 he has been working as a teacher of the physical training education department and a coach in taekwondo and military sports. He is an Honored Coach of Ukraine. - Football – Khymchenko Oleksandr, was born on November 30, 1985 in Shostka, Sumy region. In 2003 he graduated from Konotop secondary school gymnasium №1. In 2016 he graduated from Sumy State Pedagogical University named after Makarenko on the specialty “Physical training education”. Since 2016, he has been working as a coach of SNAU national football and mini-football teams. During this time, the football team of SNAU became the winner of the regional football championship among the universities, the bronze medal winner of the Ukrainian Mini-football Championship among foreign students. 2 players of the SNAU team are the members of the Ukrainian national student football team.
- Chess, checkers – Matlash Vitalii, was born on March 10, 1959 in the village of Tereshkivka, Sumy district. In 1975 he graduated from secondary school in Tereshkivka. From 1975 till 1976 heworked at the JSC named after Frunze. In 1976-1980 he studied in the Kharkiv Pedagogical Institute named after Skovoroda. Since 1983 he has been working as an assistant professor of the Department of Physical Training Education of Sumy National Agrarian University and a football coach. The mini-football team of the university has become three –times winner of the championship of the State Charity Academy “Kolos”, the champion of Ukraine among the agrarian universities in football.
