Traditionally, the staff of Sumy National Agrarian University begins the calendar year with a conference, during which they summarise the results of the past year, outline the achievements and determine the prospects for the institution.  On January 24, 2024, 207 staff delegates including representatives of the administration, employees, and students, gathered offline and online to consider the issues on the agenda:

Before listening to the reports, the participants re-elected the staff delegates from the departments, as well as determined the composition of the counting and mandate commissions. During the report, the Rector of Sumy NAU Volodymyr LADYKA addressed the audience with words of gratitude for their fruitful work despite the challenges of wartime:

“My report on achievements reflects each structural unit, each faculty and college. I am grateful to you for your systematic and successful work for the development of our educational institution and its secluded structural departments.”

Volodymyr LADYKA showed the audience information on the positive dynamics of the student contingent development, paying special attention to the fact that Sumy NAU attracts applicants from all over Ukraine. He also noted that our educational institution and its secluded structural departments also implement new relevant educational programmes, improving the material and technological base by opening modern laboratories and classrooms. He focused on the results of international cooperation, including projects and grants to which SNAU is involved.

Based on the results of all the issues on the agenda, the relevant decisions were made.

The staff conference unanimously supported the initiative of the trade union committee to nominate Ihor KOVALENKO, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Academic Activities, as a single candidate for the election of the Rector of Sumy National Agrarian University.
