December 19, a meeting with representatives of the friendly People’s Republic of China was held in Sumy National Agrarian University. The delegation from Zhejiang University of Agriculture and Forestry, headed by the Chancellor of the University Zhou Guomo, visited our university. The Rector, Volodymyr Ladyka, presented Sumy National Agrarian University. He made a speech, focusing on long-lasting, friendly relations with PRC educational institutions and common scientific developments. Volodymyr Ladyka informed about the scientific and educational possibilities of SNAU, its cooperation with other countries and stakeholders in the agricultural sector, student life and sports.
Our scientists had an opportunity to learn more about Zhejiang University of Agriculture and Forestry. Much attention in Zhejiang University is paid to environment, that is why there is a great diversity of plants in campus. The location of the university in so-called Silicon Valley of China helps students not only to acquire strong, grounded theoretical knowledge, but also to have training and internship at the large and well-known enterprises.
It was noted that the most faculties of Zhejiang University have much in common with Sumy NAU issues. It can lead to the long and fruitful cooperation.
After the presentation the guests were able to learn more about the history of the University. They visited SNAU museum, modern laboratories and a unique smart polygon of precise farming centre.
We hope that Sumy National Agrarian University will become a reliable partner for the Chinese university!
