In 2024, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine awarded 50 named scholarships to young scientists – doctors of sciences with a monthly payment for each in the amount of five living wages for able-bodied persons, established on January 1, 2024. Scientists were supported in accordance with the draft Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “On Named Scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Young Scientists – Doctors of Science” and the submission of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation.
Mykhailo SHULIAK, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering of Sumy National Agrarian University was one of the honored. The scientist was awarded a scholarship for the performance of scientific (scientific and technical) work: “Formation of functional stability and energy-saving modes of operation of transport and technological units in agricultural production”.

This financial aid is a recognition for every scientist, it is intended to improve the effectiveness of targeted support for young scientists – doctors of science, to create additional opportunities and incentives for them to conduct fundamental and applied scientific research in priority areas of science and technology development in Ukraine.
