On November 4, Sumy National Agrarian University launched the Week of Academic Integrity – a series of events aimed at forming a culture of responsible attitude to education, scientific research and the use of innovative technologies.
The first event of the week was a survey of higher education applicants regarding their attitude to the principles of academic integrity. In addition, the participants had the opportunity to listen to the report of the representative of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, the head of the Committee on Ethics of the National Agency, Artem ARTIUKHOV, on the topic “Academic integrity for freshmen”, in which special attention was paid to the importance of integrity for a successful educational process. The event was attended by representatives of all faculties of the university, in particular, students, scientific and pedagogical staff and representatives of the administration. The participants discussed the current issues of using artificial intelligence in education, outlining the limits of what is permissible, and also shared their opinions about the impact of the latest technologies on the quality of the educational process.
At the end of the first day, the student self-government of the university solemnly signed the Declaration of Academic Integrity, emphasizing its readiness to adhere to the principles of
ethics in education and professional development.
The week of academic integrity at SNAU will continue with a series of activities aimed at strengthening knowledge and skills that will contribute to the development of academic culture and support of ethical standards in education and science.
