On 28 February 2025, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine hosted a meeting of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Research. The agenda included key issues of the development of scientific activities of higher education institutions, experience of science parks and renewal of the Council.
The event began with the registration of participants, after which Deputy Minister of Education and Science Denys KURBATOV addressed the audience. In his speech, he outlined the priorities of the Ministry of Education and Science’s science policy and stressed the importance of integrating science and innovation into the national economy.
Volodymyr PAVLIKOV, Chairman of the Presidium of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Research, presented a report on the Council’s activities for the previous period, and Oksana OLIYNYK, First Vice-Rector of the State University ‘Zhytomyr Polytechnic’, shared her experience of establishing the Zhytomyr Polytechnic Science Park.
The final stage was the re-election of the members of the Presidium of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Research. An important event for Sumy National Agrarian University was the election of Yurii DANKO, Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities, as Deputy Chairman of the Council. He will be responsible for the agricultural sector, which is key to the development of research activities at agricultural universities.
This appointment is yet another confirmation of the high level of scientific work carried out at SNAU and opens up new opportunities for developing agricultural science and international cooperation.
