On March 13, 2025, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo VYNNYTSKYI visited Sumy National Agrarian University. During the visit, the guest of honor joined the ceremony of awarding double master’s degrees within the framework of the international Twinning project and got acquainted with the material and technical base of the university.
In his speech at the graduation ceremony, Mykhailo VYNNYTSKYI emphasized the significance of obtaining a British degree, saying:
“A British degree is a great achievement. But at the same time, it is a great responsibility. Sumy National Agrarian University is one of the leading agricultural universities in Ukraine, just like the Royal Agricultural University in the UK. You have taken the first confident step by receiving this diploma. Today, wide doors are opening for you, and it is very important that you enter them and continue at the same pace.”
While familiarizing himself with the university’s facilities, Mykhailo VYNNYTSKYI visited the training laboratories equipped with shelters that allow for continuous classes in safe conditions. He also toured the renovated spaces of the Sumy Business School and the Energy Innovation Hub, which open up new opportunities for student startups and research initiatives. Particular attention was paid to the modern equipment provided to the university by international partners, which is actively used in the educational process to ensure a high level of practical training for students.
In addition, Mykhailo VYNNYTSKYI got acquainted with the laboratories of engineering, food, construction, veterinary and biotechnology. Particular attention was paid to the demonstration of the university’s digital solutions, in particular the E-SNAU mobile application, which has become an important part of the process of digital transformation of educational activities.
Concluding the visit, Mykhailo VYNNYTSKYI expressed his gratitude to the Rector of the SNAU, Ihor KOVALENKO, and the entire university staff for their dedication to the educational process, hard work, and high results that the institution demonstrates even in times of war. He noted the resilience and adaptability of the university, which continues to develop, innovate and remain one of the leaders in agricultural education in Ukraine.
