The modern dance group “Sharm” of Sumy National Agrarian University was created in 2002. Tatarchenko Yelizaveta is the organizer and the permanent director of the team. According to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on April 30, 2018, the ensemble was awarded the honorary title “Model Art Group”.
The main goal of the team is to be of interest to students in choreographic art. The team consists of students and postgraduates from Sumy National Agrarian University. The team of the author’s follows 5-year educational-training program. The basis of the classes is laid classic and modern dance. The repertoire of the collective consists of stylized folk dances, jazz-modern, contemporaries, hip-hop, vogue, classical dances. The repertoire keeps up with the time and the needs and desires of the group.
“Sharm” is a participant and winner of many city, regional, All-Ukrainian and International festivals.
Enriched concert activities, interesting educational process, victories and participation in competitions and festivals of choreographic art helped to create the atmosphere of unity, creativity, a united family of pupils and a leader in the team. During the study, pupils become one friendly family. Each year, the group invites fans of dance art to annual reporting concerts.
Due to the creative potential of the participants and the choreographer-director, Tatarchenko Yelizaveta, the team successfully represents Sumy region in Ukraine and abroad. The main thing that unites the participants of the team is to give love for choreographic art to their audience!
