September 20 is the Day of a forest worker in Ukraine. On this holiday specialists, who work in this field,
defending the preservation of the forests and safety of each of its inhabitants, were honoured by the
decree of the President of Ukraine.
Viktor Petrovych Chyhyrynets, a lecturer of Sumy National Agrarian University, an associate professor of
the Department of Garden Design and Forestry, a member of the presidium of the Society of Foresters
of Ukraine was among the awardees.
By presidential decree No. 397/2020 Viktor Chyhyrynets was awarded the Order of Merit, the 1st
degree.
