A MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS UNDER THE SUMY REGIONAL STATE ADMINISTRATION WAS HELD AT SNAU

On November 16, Sumy National Agrarian University became a platform for holding the first meeting of the Council of Young Scientists in the current academic year in the approved new composition.

Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities of Sumy NAU Yurii DANKO began the meeting with a welcoming speech. He wished the participants fruitful work and noted about the importance of cooperation between representatives of various higher education institutions of Sumy oblast and Ukraine as a whole. According to Yurii DANKO, this cooperation will contribute much to the adoption of new decisions in the field of state policy, concerning the scientific, scientific and technical, innovative activities. It is the main goal of functioning of the All-Ukrainian network of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Moreover, from 2020 to 2023 Yurii DANKO managed the work of this advisory body under the Sumy Regional State Administration.

From now on, the chairman of the Council is the dean of the Faculty of Construction and Transport of SNAU, associate professor of the Department of Transport Technologies Oleksandr SOLAROV (for more information go to the link: https://snau.edu.ua/oleksandr-solarov-chlen-radi-molodix-uchenix). From now on, for the fourth year in a row, an important position is held by a representative of our university. It testifies to the high qualification of our employees and their deep knowledge. Under the leadership of Oleksandr SOLAROV the first meeting in the renewed composition brought together representatives of scientific establishments and higher education institutions of Sumy region. There were two issues on the agenda:

Report of the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists on the prospects of the Council’s work in cooperation with Sumy NAU.

Development of the plan of work of the Council of Young Scientists under the Sumy Regional State Administration for 2024.

Members of the Council of Young Scientists discussed the prospects of cooperation between higher education institutions of the Sumy region, holding joint scientific events in future, participating in international and the all-Ukrainian projects. During the meeting, Oleksandr SOLAROV introduced the participants to the material and technical base of Sumy National Agrarian University. At the same time, the chairman of the Council noted the importance of working with local businesses, because it provides financial support for the creation of modern innovative laboratories. He also emphasized the most famous scientific developments of SNAU employees: edible bags that quickly decompose in nature and A2 Milk.

The meeting was finished in a friendly atmosphere with the introduction of relevant decisions on the issues of the agenda.
