The university book “Biology and Ecology of Phytopopulations” by Yulian Zlobin, Viktoriia Skliar and Hanna Klymenko was awarded a 2nd degree diploma at the Best Publication 2023 competition.
Traditionally, the National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine holds a competition for the best publication. In 2023, more than 175 works were submitted in various nominations. that each work is distinguished by its creativity, originality, novelty, and purposefulness, which will certainly help Ukrainians to keep their educational and military fronts.
The second place in the Monographs nomination went to Yulian Zlobin, Viktoriia Skliar and Hanna Klymenko with their university book Biology and Ecology of Phytopopulations, which covers the main problems of biology and ecology of phytopopulations using numerous literary sources and materials obtained by the authors and representatives of the Sumy Scientific School of Plant Population Ecology based on the results of many years of field research.
The main highlight of the monograph, which distinguished it from other publications, was an in-depth analysis of all aspects of the existence of phytopopulations, as well as a thorough explanation of the methodological techniques of collecting and processing material to obtain informative materials.
The university book “Biology and Ecology of Phytopopulations” will be used by students of biological, ecological, agronomic and forestry specialities who study disciplines related to the problems of clarifying the features and patterns of functioning of phytopopulations.
The authors of the monograph are leading Ukrainian scientists. Yulian Zlobin became one of the founders of Sumy National Agrarian University, made great efforts to establish our educational institution and its evolution from the Sumy branch of the Kharkiv Dokuchaev Agricultural Institute to a separate modern agrarian university. Yulian Zlobin is a Doctor of Biological Sciences, Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine. Viktoriia SKLAR is a Doctor of Biology, Professor of the Department of Ecology and Botany at the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Natural Resource Management of Sumy National Agrarian University. Hanna KLYMENKO is a PhD in Biology, Associate Professor at the Department of Ecology and Botany
