During a week SNAU scientists – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Kseniia Bliumska-Danko and Project Manager Olena Melnyk were in Turkey on an academic mobility program.
The researchers gained this opportunity through participation in the Erasmus + K 107. In 2021, SNAU partner Afon Kocatepe University got financial aid from the European Union for the implementation of academic mobility programs. Sumy National Agrarian University from Ukraine, as well as representatives of universities from Georgia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, were chosen as partner universities.
Candidates from SNAU filled in applications, indicating the level of English language proficiency and suggested the subject of the lectures. Olena Melnyk and Kseniia Bliumska-Danko were chosen among the candidates. Olena Melnyk took part in the training program and Kseniia Bliumska-Danko took part in the teaching program.
During the visit SNAU representatives visited 4 Turkish universities – Afyon Kocatepe University, Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University, Kutahya Dumlupinar University, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. There they presented their university, talked about research and experience in implementing international projects. In addition, as a part of the teaching program, Kseniia Bliumska-Danko delivered lectures for students of the universities of communication and marketing.
Then, in September, the first student from Turkey will arrive in SNAU, where he will study at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
The project sector supervisor emphasizes that every lecturer can take part in academic mobility. To do this, you need to speak English at a sufficient level, as well as to respond to the opportunities provided by international organizations. It is also important to maintain contacts with colleagues from other Ukrainian and foreign universities. Olena Melnyk advises to contact the SNAU project sector or the international department for help in writing grant applications.
