Winter is a time of incredible emotions, family warmth and merry laughter. It’s a time when each of us is waiting for a miracle and believes in it.
Traditionally, on the eve of the New Year holidays, the youth of Sumy National Agrarian University,initiate the charity event “Each of us is St Nicholas” to give miracles and love to orphans and children who are ill.
All colleges of Sumy NAU actively joined the campaign. The largest donation this year was made by the secluded structural department Hlukhiv Agricultural Institute.
In total, they managed to raise 26034 hryvnias. For these funds, the student activists of the SNAU purchased toys, personal care products, clothes, books, and sweets for the kids. The staff of our canteen baked brightly coloured gingerbread.
Not only the students of Sumy NAU, but also its employees joined in organising and holding the holiday for the kids. For example, Daria KRAVCHENKO, the rector’s office assistant, says that participation in such charity events is psychologically difficult, but so necessary.
