On November 25, 2023, regular Academic Council meeting of our institution of higher education was held at Sumy National Agrarian University.

The meeting brought together 53 members of the Academic Council, 5 of whom joined online.

The agenda:

  1. On the work of student self-government bodies and the creation of a common concept of student self-government of SNAU and its structural units (Reporter: Head of the Student Self-Government Diana DEREVYANCHENKO)
  2. Monitoring report on the state of foreign language proficiency in Sumy National University and colleges (Reporter: Head of Foreign Languages Department Tetiana KLOCHKOVA; co-reporter: Head of International Relations Department of SNAU Larysa KALACHEVSKA)
  3. Experience of dual education introduction at SNAU, achievements and challenges (Reporter: Director of the Center for Retraining and Advanced Training Iryna TODERYUK)
  4. Miscellaneous

At the beginning of the meeting, counting commission consisting of N. KOLODNENKO, N. BOLHOVA, and O. SOLAROV was elected. The members of the Academic Council unanimously decided to assign academic titles of Associate Professor on Yu. RUDENKO, S. KALYUZHNIY, Yu. MISHCHENKA, and V.SHUMKOVA.

In addition, the Rector of Sumy National Agrarian University and the Head of the Academic Council, Volodymyr LADYKA, had the pleasant task of handing over certificates of Professors (V. MAKAROVA and I. KRAVCHENKO), certificates of Associate Professors (H. BARSUKOVA, N. BONDAR, N. PETROVA and S. SHENDRYK.

After listening to the report of student rector D. DEREVYANCHENKO on the work of student self-government bodies, members of the Academic Council jointly developed a plan of measures to implement the development of student self-government for the 2023-2024 academic year.

As for the report on the level of foreign language proficiency they decided to conduct a screening test among students of Sumy National Agrarian University and its secluded structural departments. Based on the results of monitoring, a list of measures to improve indicators will be created.

The successful functioning of the dual education system at the university is a priority of our institution. Having taken into account the report of the Director of the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training, Iryna TODERIUK, they agreed to the initiative of expanding the bases of enterprises and developing a convenient educational schedule.
