All foreigners who enter Ukraine for training after university enrollment, must receive a temporary residence permit in the migration service. A temporary residence permitis a document certifying the identity of a foreigner or a stateless person and confirming the legality of his stay in Ukraine, which must be presented during migration and other checks.

To do this, the student must no later than 30 days before the expiry of the visa, submit to the SNAU Foreign Students Center:

  1. Notarized translation into Ukrainian of 1 page of a passport document (in 2 copies).
  2. Health insurance and deportation insurance policy with a validity of not less than 1 year (for students of the preparatory department), 2 years (for bachelors), 1.5 years (for masters), 2 years (for PhD students).
  3. 10 photos 3,5х4,5.
  4. Receipts for payment of state duty, registration and issuance of a temporary residence certificate and a receipt for the provision of information services.

The SNAU Foreign Students Center prepares a package of documents for processing a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, which the student submits to the Office of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region.

After receiving a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, a student within 3 days must submit it to the SNAU Foreign Students Center for of the place of residence.

A foreign student can register at the SNAU hostel. If a foreign student wishes toregisteratthe address of the apartment where he lives, he must come with the home owner to the Foreign Students’ Center to process a package of documents for registering a place of residence.

A student who has received a temporary residence permit in Ukraine is obliged to inform the SNAU Foreign Students Center within 3 days about:

– obtaining a new passport or changes in passport data;

– submission of documents for obtaining a permanent residence permit in Ukraine;

– changing the registration of the place of residence;

– loss of the temporary residence permit.

The student  is obliged to return the temporary residence permit in Ukraine to the Center in case of expulsion from the university within 2 days after the order of expulsion, as well as leave the territory of Ukraine after removal from registration.

A temporary residence permit in Ukraine is issued for a period of study, but no more than the period of validity of a student’s passport. If the passport expires earlier than the period of study, the student is required to submit a new passport after it isissued, as well as a notarized translation into Ukrainian of 1 page of the passport document (in 2 copies).

To extend the validity of a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, a foreign student must, at least 30 days prior to th eexpiration of its validity period, submit to the Center:

  1. Passport.
  2. Temporary residence permit.
  3. Health insurance and deportation insurance policy for a period of at least 1 year.
  4. 4 photos 3,4 х 4,5.

When expelled from school, the student is obliged to return a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, cancel registration and leave the territory of Ukraine within 7 days.
