With the support of the Press Department, Education and Culture of the US Embassy in Ukraine in partnership with the Sumy National Agrarian University, the Kyiv Agrarian University of the National Academy of Sciences and the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University within the framework of the project “Implementation of American standards of agricultural education in Ukraine: public participation, quality improvement, democratic development” the seminar “Civil associations of American farmers and their influence on educational policy” was held.
The format of the event is mixed: offline on the basis of Sumy NAU and online.
KURBATOV, Doctor of Philosophical Science, Adviser of the Presidium of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, head of the PO “Centre for Educational Policy Research” was the speaker and shared his knowledge and experience on the following issues:
- USA as the cradle of modern democracy
- Agricultural sector and agricultural education in the modern USA.
- Educational public associations: general overview.
- Activities of the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE).
- The National Organization of Agricultural Educators (PAS) and its impact on educational policy.
At the end of the seminar, S. KURBATOV answered the participants’ questions about the experience of agricultural education in the USA.
