SNAU POSTGRADUATE STUDENT RECEIVED A GRANT FROM GERMAN FEDERAL ENVIRONMENT FUND

Nataliia Yaroshenko, a graduate student of the Department of Ecology and Botany SNAU, got a scholarship from German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, DBU) in 2021-22.

Nataliia is going to Kassel University for the winter semester, where she will go on working on her PhD research. The thesis is “Population Analysis of Herbaceous Plant Species of Forest Ecosystems of Sumy Geobotanical District under the Influence of Human Economic Activity”.

The program includes both an internship at a research institution and involvement in events organized by the DBU. This year the program’s fellows include 17 young scientists from 9 countries who are interested in environmental research.

We would like to admit that DBU provides scholarships to highly qualified graduates of higher education institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. DBU scholarships aim to solve problems in the field of environment and nature protection in the homeland of fellows who are given the opportunity to do research internships in German universities, research institutes as well as in firms and in public organizations.
