The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the results of modelling the formula for budget
funds distribution among higher educational institutions of state ownership. While modelling the formula, in
accordance with the new Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, a number of criteria were taken into account,
including the number of students, the scope of scientific activity, the employment rates of graduates, etc.
According to the results of the assessment, which was done using the above-mentioned criteria, the
university funding was received from the state budget. Sumy National Agrarian University is among the higher
educational establishments, which have got the largest amount of funding – 120% (in comparison to last year). The
amount of funds provided by the state budget for Sumy NAU is UAH 190.8 million. In 2019 it got 158.9 million UAH
from the state budget. Thus, Sumy National Agrarian University presents the real results of implementation of the
university’s sustainable development strategy.
