SUMY NAU ORGANIZED AUTUMN SCHOOL WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF “SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DAYS”

Sustainable Energy Days, which this year are held by the Sumy City Council together with SNAU and Ekotop, started in Sumy. The event aims to raise public awareness of environmental problems and energy efficiency. This year’s “Autumn School: Sustainable Energy and Climate – EU Experience for Ukraine” is realized within the framework of the Erasmus + Jean Monnet International Grant Project, Department of Climate Leadership of the European Union, coordinated by SNAU.

The second year in a row SNAU is implementing the EU Erasmus + International Grant Project Jean Monnet, Department of Climate Leadership of the European Union, which provides a series of promotional activities on climate change, ecology and energy saving for community members, students and young people. More than 60 people will join the autumn school of sustainable energy.

The program includes online events in the morning and mixed (online and offline formats) in the afternoon. At the first online meeting the participants discussed the main achievements in implementing of energy efficiency policy and adaptation to climate change.

The city authorities and SNAU do all their best to draw attention to climate change. Sustainable Energy Days are to help Ukraine and each of us learn the experience of EU countries. Climate change has a significant impact on humanity and the environment as a whole.

This week the Autumn School will discuss the following issues: international climate policy and partnership, climate adaptation of communities, experience and plans of participating cities on adaptation to climate change, national environmental policy of Ukraine in the context of climate change, investing in a sustainable future in the world and Ukraine: EU practices and so on.
