The School of Business of Sumy National Agrarian University will become a partner of the training with funding from the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine is launching a new School of Social Entrepreneurship in Sumy Oblast. The training project will be implemented in partnership with the Business School of Sumy National Agrarian University with financial support from the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The School of Social Entrepreneurship is a pilot educational project that will help transform entrepreneurial ideas into holistic business projects with a strong social component. UNDP supports the creation of socially-oriented businesses in war-affected communities. Such projects accelerate local recovery and help to respond more quickly to the growing social needs of the population.
The school participants will master the theoretical framework and learn how to apply the knowledge gained during practical intensives. They will be assisted by professional business experts who will be actively involved in the development of business plans as mentors and coaches. Participants will also have the opportunity to talk to owners of successful social businesses and learn the ins and outs of managing business processes in times of crisis.
The best graduates of the school will receive financial support to launch a project to develop their own social business idea (an average from three to five thousand US dollars).
About the format
The training format includes online and offline components. Theoretical training will take place remotely, and practical training will be held in a face-to-face format.
