The Council of young scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is an advisory body that promotes the implementation of the constitutional rights of young scientists and their participation in the formation and implementation of state policy in different areas of science. Sumy National Agrarian University has repeatedly participated in the organization and holding of events initiated by this structure and Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities of SNAU Yurii Danko holds the position of a chairman of the Council of young scientists under the Sumy Regional State Administration.
On June 22, 2023, on the basis of the Department of Education and Science of Sumy Regional State Administration, at the initiative of the Council of young scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, a regional meeting of the council of young scientists of the Sumy region was held.
The event was attended by Olesia VASHCHUK, chairman of the Council of young scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Viktoriia HROBOVA, director of the Department of Education and Science of Sumy Regional State Administration, Alisa SUKHIKH, deputy chairman of the Council of young scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Olena POLISHCHUK, associate member of the Council of young scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Yurii Danko, chairman of the Council of young scientists under the Sumy Regional State Administration and others.
Considerable attention was paid to the discussion of problems and challenges in the activities of the councils of young scientists. Olesia VASHCHUK noted the possibilities of projects of the Council of young scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which are aimed at supporting and stimulating the scientific and technical activities of young scientists in war conditions.
The event was also attended by Young Scientists of Sumy NAU, who took part in the discussions: Alina BRYCHKO, candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of Public Management and Administration, Oleksandr SOLAROV, candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Tractors, Agricultural Machines and Transport Technologies, Ivan Sobran, candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Breeding and Seed Production named after M. D Honcharova and others.
Postgraduate students of our university also had an opportunity to talk about challenges, prospects and importance of research work in the conditions of war. Liudmyla VARENYK, a chairman of the primary trade union organization of students and postgraduates of Sumy NAU, Nataliia LADYKA, a post-graduate student of specialty 212 “Veterinary Hygiene, Sanitation and Expertise”, Tetiana KUCHKOVA, a post-graduate student of specialty 073 “Management” took an active part in the discussions.
