The civilians of SNAU are terrified of the Sicilian mafia. Will they be able to expose the criminals? Who will the mafia choose as a victim tonight? Will the civilians manage to win this battle?
A Mafia game was played at the Sumy National Agrarian University. The reason for the organisation was the approach of Halloween.
The students played two rounds. The first time, the mafia proved to be more cunning and insidious. At the end of the second game, goodness won, and so did the civilians.
After the game, the students had a film night. They watched the cult film “The Addams Family” together, which was very exciting. 95 minutes of amazing stories from the life of a wizarding family. By the way, this film is based on the world-famous comic books by Charles Addams and the 1960s TV series of the same name.
Student Rector Diana Derevianchenko is pleased and proud to announce the organisation of the event:
“My team and I have long wanted to organise a Mafia game. Last year’s experience showed that students really like it. We decided to combine Halloween celebrations with Mafia, but we were a little worried that students would not be interested in this format. But everyone came in cool costumes, with enthusiasm in their eyes. Next time we plan to organise Mafia with teachers.”
Iryna Manko, Deputy Student Rector for Information and Career Guidance, talks about her emotions from the first Mafia game, in which she became the host:
“It was the first time I held such an event. To be honest, it was not without excitement. The atmosphere of the game gave me confidence and a good mood. The students immediately plunged into the role of real mafia, which was our goal. Active student leisure is now the most important thing for the university, so we plan to continue such traditions and encourage more young people to participate.”
