This day in history: 10 years ago the Revolution of Dignity began, 19 years have passed since the Orange Revolution.

They were united by Maidan. A part of the territory of Kyiv was filled with strong, independent, wise and brave people. These people will never allow anyone to put shackles on their hands. They are heroes who chose a democratic, European course. They stood up against the authorities and got their way. They did it despite the pain, despite the sacrifice, despite the attack of the security forces. Europeans watched our courage through TV and telephone screens, our heroes were admired by the whole world.

“Charged with dignity and thirst for freedom!” – such lectures, instead of the usual professional ones, were listened to by students today. The lecturers of the Department of State and Legal Disciplines and Ukrainian Studies, who became the organizers of the talks, are convinced that only by thoroughly knowing historical events, young people will be able to create the future.

Not only Sumy National Agrarian University joined the thematic lectures. “Charged with dignity and thirst for freedom” is a marathon that united every corner of Ukraine, every higher educational institution, school, and state institutions.

The name of the marathon is not just a peculiar slogan, but the lifestyle of Ukrainians throughout centuries of history. After all, the struggle for the free future of the Motherland continues, our people defend their freedom and an independent country.

Ukrainian people, we resisted then and we will surely win now.  Free independent blood flows in our veins. Let’s remember this and believe in a peaceful and bright future. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!
