Sumy National Agrarian University hosted a meeting of the Council of Rectors of higher education institutions of Sumy region with the participation of government officials: People’s Deputies of Ukraine Yuliia Hryshyna, Mykhailo Ananchenko and Anton Shvachko.
The meeting was opened by Volodymyr LADYKA, the Rector of Sumy National Agrarian University and Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Sumy Region. His welcoming speech has already become a tradition at every meeting:
“Today is an important day for the university and the region. We have the opportunity to talk to a representative of the government, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuliia Hryshyna. In my opinion, this is one of the indicators of the systemic work of the government. This meeting is the basis that gives us the opportunity to analyse and adapt to what will happen in the future. “
Yuliia Hryshyna, people’s Deputy, Head of the Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, recalled her first meeting with the audience at the beginning of the full-scale invasion (see https://snau.edu.ua/narodni-deputati-ukra%d1%97ni-vidvidali-snau/). Moreover, she had an honourable mission to award the best employees with personalized letters of appreciation from the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation. Among the awardees were Oleh ROHOVENKO, Dean of the Faculty of Law, PhD, Associate Professor; Tetiana SYNENKO, PhD, Senior Lecturer of SNAU; Nataliia PARSHYKOVA, PhD, Senior Lecturer of SNAU; Oksana DATSKO, Postgraduate Student of SNAU and Iryna MANKO, Deputy Student Rector for Information and Career Guidance.
Mykhailo ANANCHENKO, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, also greeted the participants, focusing on the experience of cooperation with the Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, chaired by Yuliia Hryshyna.
Anton SHVACHKO, who is a People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, thanked the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Higher Education for the visit to Sumy region and expressed hope that the next time it would be longer.
The following issues were on the agenda of this meeting:
- Experience of training specialists in the dual form of higher education in higher education institutions of Sumy region (speakers: rectors of higher education institutions)
- Introduction of a mobile application for students E-SNAU at Sumy National Agrarian University (speakers: Nataliia Parshykova, leading specialist of the Centre for Digitalization of the Educational Process of Sumy National Agrarian University, Viacheslav Kharchenko, third-level (educational and scientific) student of SNAU)
- Expected changes in the educational legislation of Ukraine (speaker: Yuliia Hryshyna, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Head of the Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation)
- Miscellaneous
As a result of the discussion, the participants made joint decisions on the further work of higher education institutions, taking into account the challenges of wartime, and cooperation with the authorities.
