The delegation of Sumy NAU returned from a study and research visit within the project “German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)”, which took place at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT), Germany,from the 8th to 12th of November, 2021.
HSWT is divided into two departments, Weihenstephan and Triesdorf, which consist of seven faculties. The range of courses consists of 19 Bachelor’s courses, 13 Double courses and 12 Master’s courses.
The range of subjects is implemented in an autonomous professional cluster, which relates to the most important areas of human life. It starts with the production of agricultural raw materials, includes the processing of livestock products, covers relevant food and supply issues, takes into account environmental requirements and extends to the development of rural and urban areas.
Thus, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences guarantees training throughout the value chain – “from field to table or from the field to the store shelf”. This position is fulfilled at the international level through training and internships, Double degree programs, as well as active cooperation with more than 80 educational institutions around the world, including Sumy NAU.
Participants of the delegation (Oleh Pasko, Vladyslav Zubko, Oleksandr Solarov, Yurii Ladyka, Vladyslav Kovalenko, SerhiiSokolyk, Olha Bakumenko, Maryna Savchenko) had working meetings with German professors.
In addition, there was a tour around the campus, acquaintance with the logistics of the educational and scientific process of HSWT. A meeting was held on the DAAD project on digitalization of teaching and management in the Free Economic Zone of Ukraine. Also, HSWT has significant experience in the dual form of education, which is actively implemented in Sumy NAU.
The demonstrated experience of HSWT is taken into account during the formation of goals and program results of educational programs in Sumy NAU.
