“HOW TO GROW SOYBEAN IN THE 2020 SEASON” – THE FIRST JOINT WEBINAR OF “DUNAI SOYBEAN” AND SNAU

May 29 at 9.00 a webinar “How to Grow Soybeans in the 2020 Season” was organized by the Dunai Soybean Association as part of the European Sustainable Soy Academy educational project with Sumy National Agrarian University with the support of Euralis Siemens Ukraine. The event was open, however, most of the participants were students of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Environmental Use of SNAU.

The speakers of the event were Vitalii Hoienko, Product Manager for oil companies of Euralis Siemens Ukraine LLC and Mykola Bykov, Agronomy Consultant of the Dunai Soybean Association. Vitalii Hoienko said that in order to avoid the risk of buying counterfeit and non-original seeds, it is important to know the list of original companies, the largest distributors and the most common varieties of soybeans. Mykola Bykov shared his experience in growing non-GM soybeans last year at the Association’s research sites in partnership with Astarta-Kyiv Agro-Industrial holding and leading seed companies in Vinnytsia and Poltava regions.

Sumy region is one of the six regions of Ukraine where soybeans are grown the most due to the soil and climatic conditions necessary for growing soybeans.

The webinar opened a series of online and offline training activities on soybean cultivation of the European Sustainable Soybean Academy educational project of the Dunai Soybean Association together with agro-enterprises and companies.
