Representatives of Sumy National Agrarian University took part in the 1st International Business Conference of Game Breeding Practitioners “Development and Popularization of Game Breeding in Ukraine. Actual problems and their solutions”.
The regulations of the business conference provided for 2 days of intense meetings and discussions at the hunting and sports complex “Sokil”, located in Rivne region.
The organizers of the meeting were leading private enterprises and holdings: LLC “Chervus”, LLC “MSK Sokil”, LLC “NVP “Ukrmyslivrybproekt” LLC, Hunting Holding “Phoenix Hunter”, Hunting Community of Ukraine “Mnoho stritch”, LLC “Prolisok”, LLC “Kozatska” . We will remind you that Sumy National Agrarian University has close partnership ties with LLC “Chervus” and LLC “Kozatska”. The event was attended by representatives of the Economic Development Committee, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the State Forest Resources Agency, the Rivne Regional State Administration, Sumy National Agrarian University, the world’s most reputable environmental organizations, and other stakeholders.
About 100 participants gathered at the Hunting and Sports Complex “Sokil”. One of the speakers was the dean of the Faculty of Biology and Technology, Viktoriia VECHORKA. The theme of the report was “Training of game animal breeding specialists at SNAU.” Viktoriia VECHORKA presented the educational program “Breeding of game animals”, that was opened this year. The professor emphasized the advantages of this educational program and its prospects.
The most important result of the conference, besides a large amount of knowledge and experience, was negotiations on the implementation of an investment project on red deer breeding and the construction of a ranch (breeding centre) on an area of 300 hectares.
Ihor MARCHUK, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, on whose initiative and support the business conference was organized, concludes from two days of cooperation of advanced enterprises (borrowed from the website https://www.rada.gov.ua):
“I would like to note the extremely warm, constructive, sincere conversation and cooperation between all the participants of the conference. For the first time in the hunting history of modern Ukraine, all interested parties worked together on the future prospects of biodiversity without mutual accusations.”
Viktoriia VECHORKA notes that such conferences can become an important impetus for expanding the base of cooperation and enterprises, where students of the subject area “Breeding game animals” will be able to put their knowledge to practical use.
