On October 5, the regular meeting of the Supervisory Board was held at the Sumy National Agrarian University. The members of the university governing body gathered to discuss the urgent issues of the educational process organization and summarize the work. This time the meeting was attended by representatives of the Sumy Regional Military Administration headed by Chairman Volodymyr ARTIUKH.

The meeting began with an introduction to the university’s guests with new, modern, equipped classrooms and laboratories. Members of the Supervisory Board visited the modernized scientific and educational classrooms of the Marketing and Logistics Department, the educational and scientific laboratory of distance learning information technologies, and the business hub. In particular, the PR laboratory made an impression on those present with its functionality and modernized form.

Volodymyr LADYKA, Rector of Sumy National University, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine noted:

“When creating these laboratories, we rely on two factors: today’s challenges and business requirements for the qualifications of future specialists. In addition, we are trying to move away from the standard format of classrooms. For example, all the desks are mobile, so it is easy to organize such activities as a discussion circle or a Speaking Club.”

During the visit to the auditoriums of the Engineering and Technology Faculty, the present members of the Supervisory Board together with the representatives of the Sumy RMA witnessed the signing of the Memorandum on the establishment of the first New Holland Academy in Ukraine on the basis of the Sumy National Agrarian University.

During the meeting of the Supervisory Board, the Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr ARTIUK, emphasized today’s challenges related to issues of education and the development of the agro-industrial complex of our state.

After that, Volodymyr ARTIUK awarded with diplomas the Dean of the faculty of Biology and Technology V. VECHORKA, the Chief Accountant of the University N. MAZINII, and the Rector Assistant N. MELNYK.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board Yu. LUPENKO also had the pleasant mission of awarding diplomas of the National Academy of Sciences Presidium of Ukraine to O. SLAVKOVA and A. MELNYK.

The official agenda included consideration of three issues:

  1. About the formation of Sumy National Agrarian University student contingent in 2023. (N. MELNYK).
  2. About the peculiarities of the educational process organization and a safe educational environment under the conditions of war. (N. KOLODNENKO).
  3. Virtual presentation of the updated material and technical base – educational and scientific laboratories, prepared for the new 2023/2024 academic year with the support of agribusiness. (V. LADYKA).

Based on the discussion, the members of the Supervisory Board made appropriate decisions.
