Sumy National Agrarian University ranked seventh among Ukrainian universities in the international ranking of universities, which is formed on the basis of the efforts of universities aimed at solving problems of sustainability and environmental impact.
There were 956 universities in the ranking in total, 18 of them were Ukrainian.
UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia, launched in 2010. This is an indicator for universities trying to reduce their carbon footprint and thus help fight global climate change. The evaluation system includes information on sustainability in 300 universities and is called the US Green Card Report. The purpose of the ranking is to provide the results of an online survey on the current state and policies of green campus and sustainable development in universities around the world.
Thus, more attention will be paid to combating climate change, energy saving, water saving, waste recycling and environmentally friendly transport.
