On February 1, Stefan WRIGHT, Director of Agricultural Restoration at HALO trust, visited Sumy National Agrarian University. The purpose of his visit was to familiarize himself with the university’s laboratory facilities and discuss possible areas of cooperation. The guest of honour met with the university management, visited the centre for the collective use of scientific equipment for innovative agricultural technologies “Laboratory of Ecological Farming and Nature Resource Management” and the centre for precision agriculture of SNAU.

HALO Trust is currently one of the world’s largest non-governmental British and American non-profit organizations that conducts humanitarian demining, which eliminates the threat of explosive remnants of war: it finds explosive devices, marks territories, draws maps, clears unexploded ordnance in former combat zones, and liaises with communities on mine action. The organization has about 10,000 deminers worldwide. Local staff make up 98 percent of the organization.
