The beginning of the academic year was marked by a joyful event. Iryna Semenko, Sumy National Agrarian University student, won the contest “Sumy outstanding youth”, which was held by the Sumy City Council’s Youth Department for the first time. Irina was recognized as the best in the nomination «Outstanding youth in Ecology “.
The purpose of the contest was to identify young people who have outstanding achievements in public, cultural, scientific, professional life of the city, who have made a significant personal contribution to its socio-economic and cultural development. Students, volunteers, scientists, teachers, athletes had an opportunity to participate in the contest. The winners of the contest were granted the prize money and special awards.
The City Mayor, Oleksandr Lysenko, made a speech. “We do everything to ensure that young people have the opportunity to realize themselves in their native city, Sumy. It is the main purpose to initiate such a contest. I can see the outstanding young people who have extraordinary accomplishments regarding individual development, business and entrepreneurship and who can encourage many young people to take an interest in our town development. I sincerely congratulate and wish new achievements and successes! ”
