Sport is an indispensable part of every person’s life. Someone is engaged in it professionally, another one is dreaming about the career ladder and is eager to become a coach or a champion, someone is only an amateur and someone is a fan at all. Anyway, physical activity is the key to strength, beauty, and health.
On the occasion of the International Day of Student Sports, students, employees, teachers, even graduates – gathered at the Sumy National Agrarian University.
Yurii Danko, Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities, was delegated to give a welcome speech from the university administration:
“Dear employees, according to your academic responsibilities, you work hard and conduct scientific research. In addition, you prepare athletes, winners, leaders. We are very grateful for this. Dear students, sport is really very important in our life. Besides physical activity, you have a feeling of strength and unity in sport.”
Mykola ZARITSKYI, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was a special guest at the celebration. In the first weeks of the full-scale invasion, he with his comrades kept the city under control, then joined the Armed Forces. In 2023, Mykola ZARITSKYI took part in the Invincible Games in Dusseldorf.
For high sports achievements, professionalism, significant contribution to the development of sports at Sumy National Agrarian University, for promotion of a healthy lifestyle, active public position, and on the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, the University congratulated its teachers and employees on a holiday.
The special pride of our university is student-athletes, who defend the honor of our university at competitions, train and make efforts to popularize sports among their peers. This year, the rector’s thanks were given to Volodymyr MUSIIENKO, Yurii KUZMENKO, Iryna LOBACHOVA, Dmytro SYROTIN, Denys ZHYHER, Roman HOLIKOV, Mykola SEZONENKO, Andrii YEVTUSHENKU, Maria LUKAVA, Bohdan KRYKOT, Roman DUBOVYCH, Andrii MAKARENKO, Anna KYRYCHENKO.
In addition, the awardees also received valuable gifts from the SNAU Primary Trade Union Organization.
