Easter is one of the oldest Christian holidays. This is a mention of an incredible miracle – the resurrection of Jesus Christ 3 days after his crucifixion. For every Christian, the date is special, it is awaited with trepidation. This year, on the occasion of the bright day of Easter, the employees and student activities of SNAU held a charity event and presented a miracle for children deprived of parental care.

So, the charitable action of SNAU representatives “To a bright day – bright deeds” in numbers:

Svitlana ZINCHENKO, assistant of the Department of Administrative and Information Law, initiated the charity event. An employee of SNAU started collecting funds on pages in social networks. Svitlana Volodymyrivna says that donations were made by the employees of the educational institution, and students, and graduates, and just Sumy residents and representatives of Sumy businesses. Thus, in less than two weeks, the bank was replenished by 20 thousand hryvnias. Olesia, a resident of Okhtyrschyna, and Olha and Oksana, the residents of Sumy, provided additional support in the form of delicious pastries. Volunteers from Italy and Germany sent more than 300 kg of children’s clothes.

Separately, it is necessary to mention the students and employees of the Khukhryan Lyceum who responded to the offer to participate in the action. The educational institution purchased sweets, fruits, baby food, hygiene products.

The student body of the Sumy National Agrarian University visited the Sumy Specialized Children’s Home, the Ulyanovsk Special Secondary School Boarding School and the Khoruzhiv Children’s Home. On the eve of the trip, after classes at the university, they packed gifts, put sweets, toys and candy in baskets. At the request of the directors, additional stationery and hygiene products were purchased.

The youth convinces that children deprived of parental care do not need gifts so much as attention and communication. Every time, students hold events for leisure, concerts or just play with the little ones. These actions seem insignificant, but for the pupils of boarding schools they become a real holiday.
